How we met:
Andrew and Megan had known of each other through high school and a couple of mutual friends but…they officially met in Megan’s first year of university she was at the Eden Nightclub for her O-Week celebrations. During the night, I saw Andrew across the dance floor and we immediately started spending time together the following days. We had many dates eating ice cream and watching Scrubs the TV show before Andrew finally asked me to be his girlfriend.
The proposal? how, what when:Andrew is quite the romantic, so it was a very special and memorable day. We travelled to Halls Gap, which had a special place in both of our hearts as we spent time their hiking the mountains with our Dad’s when we were both younger. On March 5th, 2015, we climbed the Pinnacle and Andrew had organised a packed lunch up the very top and surprised me with a parcel. Each layer of the wrapping paper had a word on the outside of it, eventually saying- Megan Ann Knights I have a very important question to ask you, close your eyes. When I opened them, he was on one knee with a ring, that had been wrapped in the parcel. I was so excited, and of course said YES!
Theme and colour palette:Andrew and I got married at the beach so we opted for natural colours with a splash of light pink. We had wooden trestle tables, and wood slices as part of the centre pieces, and our guest book, polaroid camera and flowers were all light pink. The bride’s bouquet was made of cream and light pink mixed roses and dahlias. The natural colours paired with light pink made for a very pretty, rustic beach wedding- just what we were hoping for!
