How we met:
Nathan and I have known each other for many years – having gone to the same primary school in Warrnambool. Nathan and I were actually “boyfriend and girlfriend” for a whole two days during what was clearly a very formative stage in our lives – grade 3 and 4.
It wasn’t however, until many years after that, that our paths crossed once more and after I invited Nathan to my 21st birthday….well, as the saying goes, “the rest is history”
The proposal? how, what when:I was sitting in bed with a sore neck when Nathan asked if I would like to go for a walk a long the cliffs near Lake Gillear, "I have a sore neck we'll go later" I said. Moments later Nathan came in to the bedroom and asked me to stand, and for some reason I did without hesitation. He then proceeded to do the tradition proposal down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was so overwhelmed that I had forgotten to say yes so he had to ask me again!
Theme and colour palette:We had a elegant rustic theme with hints of blue. The bridesmaid's wore a tiffany blue dress and the groomsmen wore dark grey suits with tiffany blue ties. The ceremony was simple and the reception had lots of mason jars, candles and the tables had beautiful tall centre pieces.
