How we met :
We met at a Warrnambool Pub after Brendan had added me on Facebook, knowing who each other were through friends.
Our first date was at Brendan's house where he cooked me dinner.

The Proposal :
Brendan proposed at Pickering point in Warrnambool when we were home for Christmas - we were living in Kalgoorlie in WA at the time.
It was a couple of days before Christmas and he chose then because we were close to our family and friends to celebrate.
We had the ring made so I knew a proposal as in the near future but was definitely surprised and wasn't expecting it as I thought the ring was still at the jewellers.
Brendan had asked me to go for a walk down the beach but I declined saying it was too cold.
He had organised dinner with both of our families so we could share the news with them all together.

Preparations :
Most of my planning was done online via email because we were living in WA, my Mum also assisted.
I made one trip over to try on dresses and found the perfect one within a day.
We timed a trip over for another event to find suits for the boys and managed to find those within the first hour of shopping too. Because we had both lived in Warrnambool most of our lives prior to moving we knew what venue we wanted, which caterer, photographer etc. so that made it easier.
The week of the wedding our preparations for decorating were assisted by Kathy McIlroy from Always Bespoke Events.
We skyped Kathy and shared a Pinterest board to convey ideas of what we wanted our ceremony and reception to look like.
Our preparations in the week of the wedding consisted of all my family pitching in to create little gold horse name tags.
